We've got you covered

Jean – Certified Nurse Midwife – Richmond, Virginia

Failed Back Fusion, Nerve Damage, Numbness, Weakness, Instability

A Certified Nurse Midwife from Richmond, Virginia underwent back fusion surgery and experienced severe complications. She had difficulty sleeping due to nerve damage resulting in chronic severe pain. She received Long Term Disability benefits for about two years, but then the insurance company stopped paying and said she should return to work.

She was worried about her lost income and angry with the insurance company. She called Fields Law for help. Our team obtained the claim file from the insurance company and found that the insurer overlooked and oversimplified our client’s symptoms. The Fields Law attorneys drafted a strong appeal to the insurance company based on updated medical records and new explanations of our client’s condition from her treating doctors. The insurance company changed their decision, and our client received a lump-sum check for back-pay as well as ongoing monthly benefits. She was happy with the representation she got from Fields Law Firm, and is pleased to be done fighting with her insurer.

Rhonda – Customer Care Representative – Stanbury, Utah

Encephalopathy, Chronic Fatique, Seizure Focal Disorder

A mother of five worked hard to take care of her children and pay the bills. As a very friendly and cheerful person, she worked as a Customer Care Representative. She enjoyed her job very much because it allowed her to interact with people. One day she began to experience significant fatigue, joint pain, and awful headaches that simply would not go away. Her condition worsened, and she finally saw doctor who diagnosed her as having encephalopathy, chronic fatigue, and seizure focal disorder. Eventually, these conditions led to major depression.

When her work became too difficult, she applied for Long Term Disability benefits. When her application was denied, she attempted to file an appeal on her own, but Prudential maintained its original position and would not reverse the denial. Left with no options, she contacted Fields Law. The attorneys at Fields Law reached out to medical providers and obtained records and reports documenting the injuries, its terrible effects, and the disabling restrictions imposed by the doctors. Our attorneys filed an appeal; within a very short period, Prudential reversed its position, granting the disability benefits she so desperately needed.

Ray – Senior Service Technician – Hungerford, Texas

Failed Back Syndrome, Chronic Pain

A Senior Service Technician worked for a power company until he had to stop working due to his chronic pain and failed back syndrome. Once he stopped working, he applied for Long Term Disability benefits with an insurance company provided by his employer. He received Long Term Disability benefits for two years. After two years of benefits, his Long Term Disability benefits were terminated because Prudential felt he could return to work as a Repair Order Clerk or a Final Inspector.

Upon receiving this news from Prudential, he decided he needed the assistance of the attorneys at Fields Law Firm to submit an appeal. The attorneys at Fields Law acquired medical records, functional capacity evaluations, and a vocational abilities report and submitted an appeal. Prudential overturned their prior determination to terminate our client’s Long Term Disability benefits and issued our client a backpay check for every single month he went without Long Term Disability benefits.
