Short & Long Term Disability Cases We’ve Won for Our Clients Against MetLife
Fields Law Firm successfully recovers millions of dollars each year for our disabled clients throughout the United States. Our Long Term Disability experience is matched by very few other law firms in the country and has earned us a national reputation.
Here are just a few examples of our Long Term Disability appeal case wins against MetLife.
Holly – Customer Service Supervisor – Tucson, Arizona
PTSD, MDD
A Customer Service Supervisor trained and managed new customer service reps, which required her to be on her feet all day, while interacting with employees and customers. Unfortunately, some difficult events in her childhood led to PTSD, and eventually full-blown major depressive disorder. Given the demands of her occupation, she had to temporarily leave her job and file for disability. She was approved, but only for a limited time, until Metlife demanded she return to work. Her doctors told her she was incapable of working and needed therapy to overcome her problems.
Frustrated with Metlife’s refusal to reinstate her much-needed benefits, she hired Fields Law. Our attorneys gathered the necessary medical support from her various doctors and filed an appeal. The appeal was successful, and she was relieved to have her benefits reinstated.
Ruby – Operational Finance Assistant – Turrell, Arkansas
Depression, Anxiety, Chronic Pain
A Operational Finance Assistant from Arkansas experienced chronic pain and suffered from depression and anxiety, which prevented her from performing her job. Her Short Term Disability insurer denied her claim stating that the medical evidence did not support that she was disabled throughout the elimination period.
Clearly unable to work and unsure of what to do, she reached out to Fields Law. The Fields Law attorneys began with reviewing the entire file from Metlife and creating a plan for the appeal. After completing the review, we updated medical records and obtained a narrative report from her primary doctor. With the updated records and reports, our team drafted an appeal which outlined how her condition prevented her from working and had been present throughout the entire elimination period. Upon review, Metlife reversed its decision and reinstated the client’s monthly benefits. Our client was relieved to hear that she would be getting her benefits back.
