We've got you covered

Jayward – Inside Sales Manager – Alpharetta, Georgia

Unspecified Respiratory Illness

An Inside Sales Manager from Georgia gradually developed a mysterious and poorly diagnosed respiratory illness. Unable to continue working, he applied for Long Term Disability benefits from his insurer. Unfortunately, he was denied on his application. Needing help to appeal Lincoln Financial’s decision, he signed up with Fields Law.

The team of Fields Law attorneys began by requesting updated medical records from his providers and writing to his physicians, asking for their support. We then drafted a strong appeal, arguing Lincoln Financial’s denial was not supported by the medical evidence and that they failed to accurately understand his conditions. Lincoln Financial approved the Fields Law team’s arguments, overturning their prior denial. Our client soon received a check in the mail for his back benefits and ongoing benefits were reinstated.

Inderpreet – Software Engineer – Roswell, Georgia

Traumatic Brain Injury, Sleep Difficulties, Depression

A software engineer from Roswell, Georgia suffered a concussion. As a result, she dealt with extreme difficulty sleeping, cognitive decline, headaches, and depression. Work became impossible because she could not concentrate. She applied for and received Long Term Disability benefits for a few months, but Prudential cut off her payments because they said she could return to work.

She was worried about her lost income and frustrated with Prudential, so she called Fields Law Firm for help. Our support team obtained the entire claim file from the insurance company and scoured it for errors in the record. The Fields Law attorneys built strong evidence and filed an appeal to Prudential, but they did not change their decision. The policy allowed for one final appeal and our attorneys gathered even more expert evidence to support our client’s claim. The final appeal was successful and our client received a lump-sum payment for backpay and ongoing monthly benefits. She is pleased to be able to treat her condition without fighting Prudential, and is happy with the diligent representation from Fields Law.

Elizabeth – Teacher – Blairsville, Georgia

COPD, Diabetes II, Tachycardia, Osteoarthritis, Bilateral Carpal Tunnel

In Georgia, a 58 year old teacher had to leave work due to developing conditions that made performance of her daily duties impossible. After leaving work, she applied for and received Long Term Disability benefits from her insurer for 5 years. Without warning, the insurer hired a medical doctor to review her claim, then suddenly denied her claim. Although he had never examined her as a patient, the medical doctor stated she would be able to perform desk work on a full-time basis.

Unsure how to deal with the denial, our client found Fields Law and reached out for legal representation. Our attorneys gathered medical evidence to support our client and challenge the insurer’s wrongful decision. The appeal was submitted with legal and factual arguments about our client’s case. After a brief review, the insurer reinstated her claim and paid all past due benefits.
